// AUSTRALIAN AVAILABILITY CHECK

Meta Business Agent Australia: what is available now

Meta Business Agent is designed to answer customer messages, qualify leads, book appointments and hand conversations to a person across WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram. Meta announced a global expansion in June 2026, but access still starts with selected businesses. An Australian business should confirm the setup prompt in its own account before paying for implementation.

// CONFIRMED VS UNCERTAIN

Is Meta Business Agent available in Australia?

Meta has announced Business Agent for businesses globally and included it in an Asia-Pacific small-business training program. Meta has not published a clear Australian eligibility table. Its June launch post says it is starting with a select number of businesses and links to a waitlist. Account-level access is the reliable check.

// A PRACTICAL CHECK

How to check whether your business has access

Open the business account that receives customer messages and look for a Business Agent setup prompt in WhatsApp Business, Instagram Pro, Messenger or Meta Business Suite. Meta says access is starting with selected businesses. A missing option can mean the account is not yet eligible, not that another agency can switch it on from outside.

Take a screenshot of the setup screen, note the connected Page, Instagram account and WhatsApp number, then check business verification and administrator access. If there is no prompt, join Meta's waitlist from the official announcement and prepare the conversation rules while the rollout continues.

// PREPARE BEFORE ACCESS ARRIVES

Four steps before an Australian launch

The useful work starts before the toggle appears. A business needs a source of truth, safe handover rules and test conversations. Those inputs decide whether an agent helps the inbox or creates another place for the team to correct answers.

01

Check the account

Look for the Business Agent prompt in WhatsApp Business, Instagram Pro, Messenger or Meta Business Suite. If it is absent, use Meta's waitlist rather than paying someone to promise access.

02

Map the conversations

List the first ten customer questions, the jobs you accept, the areas you cover and the situations that must reach a person.

03

Write the handover rules

Define when the agent should stop, what details it should capture and who receives the conversation during and after business hours.

04

Test before promotion

Use real Australian spelling, suburbs, prices and difficult customer questions before sending paid Meta traffic into the inbox.

// WEB BLEND'S CURRENT POSITION

Readiness help, not a made-up rollout claim

Web Blend is not claiming production experience with Meta Business Agent on this page. The public rollout is new, Australian account access is not documented clearly enough, and a setup should not be sold before the actual account and customer flow can be tested.

We can assess where your enquiries arrive, prepare the FAQ and handover map, and compare the Meta inbox with other options. For phone enquiries, compare missed-call text back, AI phone answering and human answering. ServiceM8 users can also review the ServiceM8 Phone Agent setup and call test.

Is Meta Business Agent available in Australia?

Meta announced a global expansion on 3 June 2026, but the same announcement says access is starting with a select number of businesses and provides a waitlist. Meta has not published a clear Australian eligibility table. Check the eligible Meta account directly before planning a launch.

Where does Meta Business Agent work?

Meta says Business Agent is designed for WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, with account access also appearing through Meta Business Suite for selected businesses. The setup surface available to one business may not appear for another yet.

What can Meta Business Agent do?

Meta documents business-specific answers, product recommendations, appointment booking, lead qualification, human handover, sales conversations and morning briefings. Actual actions depend on account eligibility, connected systems and the instructions supplied by the business.

How much does Meta Business Agent cost?

Meta said getting started was free when it announced the wider rollout in June 2026. It also said paid subscription options would arrive in the following months. A final Australian price was not published in the announcement checked on 27 August 2026.

Has Web Blend deployed Meta Business Agent in production?

No production deployment is claimed on this page. Web Blend is monitoring Australian access and can help assess the inbox, questions and handover rules before a rollout. We will not sell a live setup until the account is eligible and the proposed flow can be tested.

Should a tradie use Meta Business Agent or missed-call text back?

Meta Business Agent handles messages inside Meta channels. Missed-call text back responds after a phone call rings out. A business may need one, both or neither, depending on where real enquiries arrive and who can take over the conversation.
