Is it worth paying someone to build your website?

// THE STRAIGHT ANSWER

The straight answer

Is a website worth it? Yes, when the site’s job is winning work, not just existing, and that is also when paying someone to build it pays off. A professional build costs $1,500 to $10,000 in Australia, and it earns that back through jobs a DIY site would not have won: faster loading, copy that sells, a clear next step on every page, and search foundations done properly. It is not worth it if you just need a page for people who already know you.

Run the numbers on your own trade. If your average job is worth $500 and a better site brings in two extra jobs a month, a $2,800 + GST build pays for itself inside a quarter. That is the whole decision.
